The Daio Group is facing important challenges: globalizing the H&PC business with the domestic market shrinking;early commercialization of the new-material area; and converting energy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Lookingat the external environment, there are factors such as a three-year pandemic, and surges in fuel and raw material pricesand depreciation of the yen resulting from the Russia-Ukraine war; the business environment surrounding Daio has beenrapidly changing, and its speed has been increasing with each passing year. Under such circumstances, Daio considers that as the first step toward enhancing corporate value, management and employees should always share goals with the same viewpoint and make a concerted effort to carry out work; then, Daio formulated a long-term vision targeted at fiscal 2035, when the 8th MTBP ends.
